July 2011 - Charleston WV & Pittsburgh PA
I served my two weeks of Active Duty Coast Guard over the Independence Day holiday. Courtney brought the little ones South for the weekend of the 4th and we enjoyed West Virginia's largest fireworks display in our state's capital Charleston. Later in the month we took J and Ry to their first rock concert. The last stop of U2's 360 Tour was in Pittsburgh at Heinz Field.

One consequence of kenneling the dogs over the long 4th of July weekend was that Henry had staph infection and had to be shaved, but he still looks very cute.

Are you ready to rock?
The stage was crazy: lights, smoke, moving bridges, and expandable screens, but the stage was surpassed by the music which highlighted the best songs from all of U2's albums. It was a great show.
