North Carolina - November 2009

We spent the week of Thanksgiving in North Carolina and made the most of it.

After driving to Winston-Salem on Friday, we made it to Raleigh on Saturday morning and linked up with Grandmoms to visit some museums downtown.

Ry on an old mortar tube outside the NC Capitol Building.

Ry, Grandmoms, and J outside of Grandmoms' house in Wendell before church.

After Wendell we drove to Wilmington and dropped the little ones off with Grandmama and Pop.

Then Court and I spent a couple of nights on our own staying in some great B&Bs in Wilmington and New Bern.

Ry posing outside of the Greystone Inn in Wilmington.

Court standing on Wrightsville Beach.

In between Wilmington and New Bern we pulled off Hwy 17 for a walk down memory lane on Topsail Island.

I hadn't been back sine the beach house was destroyed.

Bert's Surf Shop in Surf City on Topsail Island hasn't changed a bit.  As a matter of fact they are still selling the exact same post cards, literally.

Court posing with the ECU Pirate on our trip through Greenville.

We linked back up with the family on Wednesday in Belhaven.

Pop showing J how to shoot the BB gun.  This was J's first time firing a weapon.

Ry taking a turn on the BB gun.

Angie and the boys stomping through the puddles in the back yard.

James leading the way.

Mack and Walt.

"Aaaarrrrggggghhhhh!" J wearing my new Pirates hat.

It sounds better this way.

This picture doesn't say a thousand words, it just makes me hungry and wishing I was in Belhaven.

The day after Thanksgiving Court threw me a birthday party for my 30th.  We filled up the house and ate some Eastern North Carolina BBQ!

We also filled up the back porch and used David's canoe as our beer cooler!

And playing horsey with Connor.  Rylea loves Connor.

Cousin Greg, Moms, and Uncle Ron made the trip to Belhaven for my Birthday Party.
